The Cinco de Mayo Cultural Block Party specifically highlights Honolulu’s connection to all the Beautiful Colors, Dances, Arts, Music, Folklore and Cuisine of Latin America.  Local, Mexican, Puerto Rican restaurants will feature seasonal specialties, alongside Honolulu’s Landmark establishments.

Dance and Shake through the evening with The Brazilian Dancers of the Honolulu Zouk, and Zumba Instructor, Carolina Rivadeneyra-Enriquez & friends, or scroll thought-out Chinatown with Samba Dancers & Percussionists, Natalina Monteiro & Dance Company!  Groove to the LIVE sounds of Agua Dulce Salsa Band at the Next Door Nightclub from 6:30-9:00pm

BUT that’s not all!  Check out the Low Riders Pride Hawaii Car Show and Latin Motorcycle Club displays on the streets.  Take a ride on “Mek” the Mechanical Bull, or stop into a Beer Garden for a refreshing Margarita!  Also featured at our block party is the Cantina Crawl, Sugar Skull face painting, and a Chili Pepper Eating Contest!

Clutch your spirit of adventure and participate in Hawaii’s only Cantina Crawl!  Begin by grabbing a LOTERIA card and scout around Chinatown’s best nightclubs, bars and merchants to WIN this traditional Mexican Bingo game – Barhopping style!  Cards are available at our Sugar Skull Face Painting tent, and all participating locations.  Listed on the backside are event entertainment and happenings, along with instructions on how to play and win!

Don’t miss our RED HOT Chili Pepper Eating Contest, hosted by the CHILI BEAST himself!  Dare to consume the hottest peppers on the face of the planet and win serious acclaim and prizes!

The Official After-Party, starts at 10pm-2am, with different nightclubs in the district featuring live bands or dj’s.
