Hawaii Latino Film Festival

Special Attraction at this year’s Festival: The Hawaii Latino Film Festival!

We will be showing three films by Latino film makers at this year’s festival.

Sin Frontera

A couple struggles to survive both a decaying relationship and broken immigration system after a deportation unexpectedly tears them apart. Love will transcend any boundary.

For Decades, Colombian drug cartels have pursued their trade with relentless ingenuity.  In the early 2000s, they began using custom-built Submarines to export cocaine from Colombia to Mexico, which is often then transported overland to the United States. Due to the difficulty of the journey many of these submarines never reach their intended destination.

Love is Deeper Than Skin

A former U.S Army soldier deals with people, who do not see eye to eye with current looks, while she walks a beach park in Hawaii.

The mission of the Hawaii Latino Film Festival is to build awareness of Latino independent films by recognizing Latino contribution in the film industry and providing educational opportunities for Latinos who wants to work in the film industry.

The Hawaii Latino Film Festival aims to ensure that their stories are being told and that Latino film makers and artists have a place in our community where they can come together to discuss the future of the film industry and create a vehicle to develop the next generation of Hawaii Latino film-makers.
