A native of Kalihi, Oahu, Kawika has made a living off of being a marketing and communications professional. He’s held many roles in the hospitality industry from a cast member at the Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa to flying for the Hawaiian Airlines brand. He would eventually join the Disneyland Special Events and Marketing Team, where he would be trained as a public spokesperson for the Disneyland Resort while executing events on property.
He would also return to his love for events and manage special events at the Hilton Grand Naniloa on the Big Island for a short while before a pandemic induced hiatus. Kawika is now back in the skies, as a member of the inflight team for Southwest Airlines, while creating new content for his television show, the Murphy Street Collector on KHII and his podcast, The Murphy Street Podcast. He’s been able to dabble in acting with appearances on such television shows like LOST, Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum to name a few. He also lends his voice and personality to events as an emcee and to companies as the voice of such radio ads as the OneOahu.org campaign as well as Texaco Hawaii.
